This is moving fast!

Woking’s MP, Will Forster met with a very large group of residents of Mayford and Hook Heath, regarding the recent submission of a plan by Martin Grant Homes to build over 309 homes on two plots of Green Belt protected land to the north of Saunders Lane in Mayford. Also Cala Homes' Plan to build 74 homes on Egley Road.

The meeting, at Mayford Village Hall was packed-out, with a huge attendance. Literally, standing room only and queued out of the doors!

Over two hours, there were a series of sessions of participants' questions, statements and concerns, each addressed in turn by Will Forster MP, who also expressed his objection to the planned developments.

Subsequently Will Forster raised this issue in a Westmister Hall Debate on the "Cumulative impacts of housing development". You can view Will's statement below.

The public consultation period on the development has been really short and quite ambiguous, so we need to act fast!
